We've been involved with movies, documentaries, commercials, photography, music videos and even archaeological excavation, on land and under the sea.

Unlike most other location scouting services Locationscouting.is aims to work with as broad a group of clients as possible, from the solo traveler to the film production company. We specialize in locations that are off the beaten path, as we've learned by driving down almost every single country road in Iceland that the most spectacular places often await us where we least expect.

We believe in the backdrop and with our experience and knowledge of Iceland we truly believe that we can assist you to find your dream location, whether it's on land, in the air, in a lake or under the sea.

The company was formed by Birkir Fannar Einarsson and Guðmundur Óli Pálmason, two friends with very different backgrounds in film production and marketing on one hand and tourism and photography on the other. Completing the team is Kevin Martin, an Underwater Archaeologist, diver and tour guide and Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson who specializes in making 3D virtual tours for those clients that need to know every square inch of the location before arriving.
We all have many years of hands-on experience in our selective fields, and a vast knowledge of Icelandic nature and geography.
